Dr. Penela began her career as a licensed psychologist at the Weston office of Pediatric Psychology Associates (PPA) in 2015. During this time, she collaborated with a team of excellent psychologists who treat a wide variety of mental health challenges.

In 2020, Dr. Penela opened her specialized private practice, Wellness in Broward, where she focuses exclusively on providing evidence-based treatment for anxiety, OCD, and related issues to both children and adults. 

​Dr. Penela continues to collaborate with the team at PPA, and recently joined them at their Professional Open House (pictured here). We celebrated the opening of their new office space in Weston Town Center.  We all feel strongly about providing high-quality, evidence-based care to our South Florida community!​

    Head east on Royal Palm Blvd or Indian Trace, depending on your starting point.
  • Merge onto I-75 South via the ramp toward Miami.
  • Continue on I-75 South for about 8–10 miles.
  • Take Exit 9 for Pines Boulevard  (West).
  • Turn left (west) onto Pines Boulevard.
  • Continue west on Pines Boulevard for about 1 mile.

  • Weston Town Center -  I've been to many holiday events with my family here!  And I love meeting up with colleagues at The Cheese Course for a delicious soup and sandwich, 
  • Airboat rides in the Florida Everglades - a great adventure to take out-of-town family and friends when they come to visit. Don't forget your earplugs - airboats are loud!
